Founded in October 2021 as Stellenbosch Au Pairs during Mieke's student years, the business has since grown into the trusted and thriving brand now known as Mieks & Match.
From day one, Mieke's vision was clear: to connect families with dependable, caring individuals. Her journey has been shaped by studying in Stellenbosch and working as an au pair in the Netherlands — an experience she still describes as one of the best of her life.

How are candidates vetted?
Every candidate is interviewed and their references are checked before they're introduced to a family. Further checks can be arranged for longer-term placements.
What does it cost?
It depends on the service and how long you need help. Mieke explains the fees on your first call, before you commit to anything.
How quickly can you find someone?
Once-off babysitting and sitting can often be sorted within days. Au pair placements usually take a little longer so we get the fit right.
I'm a student — can I apply?
Yes. Many of our au pairs, babysitters and tutors are students. Just tell us your class schedule when you apply.
